Common Name – Cedar Waxwing
Scientific Name – Bombycilla cedrorum
Range – These birds can be found in Alaska east to Newfoundland, south from Illinois to Virginia. They spend their winters in the southern United States
Habitat – Found in open woodlands, clearings, and parks. Often they can be found near cedar or mountain ash trees.
Unique Characteristics or Habits – They move in tight feeding groups, and sometimes the berries will be passed between birds. Usually they are only found in Oklahoma in the winter months.
